Who: Children, Adolescents, Young Adults (College or University)
Purpose: To assess their learning strengths and needs and then develop appropriate intervention strategies to promote their success as a learner.
Involves: Following a clinical interview, review of developmental and school history, an assessment of intellectual, memory, processing, attention, executive functions, academic skills, social, emotional and behavioural functioning is completed and a report prepared.
Who: Children and Adolescents
Purpose: To assess their learning strengths.
Involves: Look at intellectual functioning and screening of key areas of academic skill development.
Who: Children, Adolescents, and Adults
Purpose: To clarify mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, and trauma.
Involves: Clinical interviewing, review of relevant past history, and may involve some assessment tools (questionnaires).
Who: Children (5 year of age ) to Adolescents (17 years of age)
Purpose: To provide therapy to address a variety of mental health concerns, such as social anxiety, phobias, OCD, Depression, and adjustment concerns.
Involves: Initial assessment of the concerns (parent and youth interview) and development of a treatment plan. Types of therapy provided include: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (main focus), Mindfulness, Collaborative Proactive Solutions, Parental Guidance, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
Who: Adults 18 year of age and older
Purpose: To help adults find strategies to cope more effectively with mental health concerns, as well as problems in relationships, in the work place, or life style changes.
Involves: Initial assessment of the concerns and development of a treatment plan with the client. Types of therapy provided, include: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy as well as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Mindfulness.
Working with families to find effective solutions to behavioural and mental health concerns.Therapy typically is approached from a family system orientation with practical solutions provided to help parents cope with children struggling with anxiety, emotional dysregulation, and challenging behaviour.
The office is located just north of Orangeville, in a private setting.
